AB GF Swedenborg Ingeniörsfirma is a designer and manufacturer of industrial and exhaust gas dampers. All manufacturing takes place in Sweden, which makes it possible to achieve full control of both the design and manufacturing process.

In co-operation with Hans Bjarnehed (PhD in mechanics of materials) we have developed our own computation programme, which gives us full control of both the flexure of the shaft and the tensions in the damper.

Design optimisation of the damper is another advantage with the programme, which reduces weight while maintaining strength. We use modern 3D CAD where all design drawings are saved for each damper.

AB GF Swedenborg Ingeniörsfirma’s Series 100 industrial dampers are equipped with PTFE-coated bearings, which guarantees problem-free operation and reduces torque. Series 100 dampers can also be equipped with an optional actuator.

These dampers are designed for use with air and lighter flue gases. They range in size from DN 100 to 600 and their temperature range is up to 150°C.

Series 200 industrial dampers are extremely robust, and equipped with external flange bearings and adjustable shaft packing, which provides problem-free operation for many years. These industrial dampers can be manufactured round or square, in accordance with your requirements.

Type 200-D and 200-DT industrial dampers are designed for applications where 100% tightness is required and for use with aggressive flue gases or other aggressive gases. The dampers are designed for on/off or regulation, operated by a pneumatic actuator, cylinder or an electric actuator.

Series 300 is a multi-louvre damper, used in tight spaces and for modulating. It can be manufactured with two or several shafts and is equipped with external flange bearings.

Series 300 multi-louvre dampers have a rugged construction with a continuous shaft, including reinforcing of the damper blade in order to minimise the deformation at various temperatures and differential pressures.

The dampers are designed for on/off or regulation, operated by hand (stepless / lockable), pneumatic actuator, cylinder or electric actuator.

Series 500 guillotine dampers are appropriate for large amounts of dust or where a free area is required. They can be manufactured round or square with a hand gear, electrical actuator or pneumatic cylinder.

Guillotine dampers are designed for use with air, flue gases, ashes, etc. They range in size from DN 200 to 4000mm x 4000mm and their temperature range is -50°C to 1000°C.

Series 600 is a check valve with an external counterweight which is easily adjustable. The shaft is supported by steel-protected flange bearings. As an option, a shock absorber can be fitted, if strong pulsation occurs in the system.
